Synopsis
Collection of works by the British director, producer and writer, Peter Kosminsky, comprising: 'The Government Inspector' (2005), 'The Promise' (2010) and 'Britz' (2007). Channel 4 mini-series 'The Promise' follows London teenager Erin (Claire Foy) as she travels to modern-day Israel to retrace the steps of her grandfather Len (Christian Cooke), who as a young man was part of the post-WWII British peace-keeping force in what was then Palestine. The docudrama, 'The Government Inspector', is based on the story of Dr David Kelly (Mark Rylance), the biological weapons inspector who commited suicide after his name was leaked to the press. 'Britz' is a two-part drama which tells the story of young siblings, Sohail (Riz Ahmed) and Nasima (Manjinder Virk), who are torn apart by their increasingly opposing views on a Muslim's place in British society.
