Old School Review

"Old School" is a comedy about three thirty-something friends who try to recapture the outrageous,

irrepressible fun of their college years. After getting home early from a business trip and finding his girlfriend having an affair Mitch (Luke Wilson) moves into a new house on a college campus. It isn't long before his recently married & separated friend Frank (Will Ferrell) moves in, and soon the irresponsible Beanie (Vince Vaughn) comes along and persuades Mitch that the right way to get over his girlfriend is to start a new fraternity and turn the house in to party central. After recruiting a motley collection of pledges the trio lock horns with the Dean of the university, childhood enemy Pritched (Jeremy Piven), in their attempt to stay in the house and on campus no matter what the cost!

The idea of three wannabe Peter Pans craving a return to the fun filled irresponsible days of their lost youth is what gives this movie a new take on what could otherwise have been a very familiar tale. Instead "Old School" proves to be a thoroughly enjoyable comedy with some outstanding set pieces, great cameos from the likes of Snoop Dogg and Sean William Scott, and three entertaining central performances from Wilson, Ferrell and Vaughn. It may not challenge your intellect but it will definitely crack you up!
