Synopsis

All eight series of the popular 1970s sitcom featuring feuding neighbours. Eddie Booth (Jack Smethurst), white bigot conservative and proud of it, lives next door to Bill (Rudolph Walker), a black, left wing, free-thinking Jamaican. At the time, the show highlighted what was a national issue but its bare-faced use of racial epithets and slurs on both sides now render it something of a period piece. Eddie and Bill do daily battle as their long-suffering wives, Joan (Kate Williams) and Barbie (Nina Baden-Semper), who get along very well, look on in dismay.
