Synopsis

Homicide refers to the act of killing another human being. There are many types of homicide, including criminal homicide, when a person purposely causes the death of another (murder and manslaughter), and there is non-criminal homicide in which the law allows homicide by allowing certain defenses to criminal charges (self-defense).
